What our tools do with your data

Calculators, text counters, keyword tools and image checkers process your input locally in your web browser. Manuscripts, book descriptions, keyword lists and images you load into a tool are not uploaded to our servers or stored by us.

Local storage

We use your browser's local storage, which stays on your device, to remember:

• your light or dark theme preference;
• tools you mark as favorites and tools you used recently;
• data you choose to save in planner tools, such as the chapter planner, launch checklist and title shortlist.

This information is never sent to us. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings or with the clear buttons in each tool.

Cookies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. If analytics or advertising are enabled (see below), those third-party services may set cookies under their own policies.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled, we record anonymous usage events such as which tool was used, that a calculation completed, or that a result was copied. We do not record the values you enter or any text you paste. Analytics may be provided by a privacy-focused service (such as Plausible) or by Google Analytics with IP anonymization, depending on configuration.

Advertising

Some pages may display ads from an advertising network such as Google AdSense. Ad providers may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Where required, you will be asked for consent. You can learn about and control personalized ads in your ad provider's settings.

Affiliate links

Affiliate links are labeled. When you click one, the destination site may set cookies to attribute your purchase. We only learn that a click happened, not who you are.

Email and contact forms

If you sign up for our checklist or newsletter, or send a message through the contact form, we receive the email address and message you submit. We use it only to respond or to send what you asked for, and our email provider processes it on our behalf. You can unsubscribe from any email using the link it contains.

Optional AI suggestions

If AI suggestions are enabled for idea generators, the fields you enter in that generator (such as genre and topic) are sent to our server and passed to an AI provider to produce ideas. They are not used for anything else. When AI is disabled, generators run entirely in your browser.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us through the contact page to make a request.
